Falling Sand

Antelope Canyon is a slot canyon, formed by the erosion of Navajo Sandstone, primarily due to flash flooding.

This image is from Upper Antelope Canyon. The quality of the lighting comes from the reflected light that bounces off the red walls of the Navajo sandstone. With a long exposure, the flowing sand takes on a silky look.
